Briggs joined our household in the spring of
2009 after 2 years of me pestering Sharon to let us
borrow him for a while. Now why in the world would
anyone want to kidnap an almost 8 year old dog for?
That's a good question and it deserves a good
answer.
Well we were fortunate enough to have Briggs
for a few months back in 2006 when we were waiting
for Paige to come into heat. During that time we
became really fond of this wonderful boy. He
demonstrated some incredible working attitude and we
often wondered what he may be capable
of. I was thrilled when he earned the Senior Hunt
title in 2008 under Sharon's expertise handling and
training. Briggs has always been a natural out in
the field so the completion of this title came as no
surprise. However, I still couldn't help but wonder
about what else is this boy capable of?
Well after a lot of pleading with Sharon, she
finally relented and agreed to let us steal Briggs
for a 'little while'.
Now I am sure plenty of people are shaking their
heads and speculating away but that's alright. To be
honest I don't know what if any titles we might be
able to get on an 8 year old dog that I haven't done
any foundation training on.
However, as an eternal optimist you never know
what might be in stored for this amazing young man.
Over the next few months we are going to
be testing the waters with Briggs to see in what areas
he shines in. There is no telling what this
boy may excel in. Heck, he may just become a Champion
couch potato for all we know. But check back often
to see what Briggs is up to...And to check out the
new pictures that are to come.
A
little bit about Briggs: Brigg's was Outstanding
Sire in 2008 for Champion titles. He has sired three
litters to date. With the latest litter being born
in the spring of 2009. Click the link below to

litter with Paige.
